Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Snowscroll ("Snowscroll," "we," "us"), governing your use of the Snowscroll iOS app (the "App"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
These Terms add to Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Apple Standard EULA"). Where these Terms and the Apple Standard EULA both apply, these Terms add app-specific detail.
1. What Snowscroll is
Snowscroll is a digital-wellbeing tool. It lets you keep using the social apps you rely on for messaging and connection while removing addictive short-form video feeds and algorithmic surfaces (such as Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Explore, and "For You"). It works by loading the mobile websites of those platforms inside a focused in-app browser and hiding the feed surfaces, using a filter configuration we can update over the air.
Snowscroll is independent. It is not an official client of, and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by, any social platform.
2. License
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, in accordance with the Apple Standard EULA and these Terms.
3. Subscriptions, billing, and free trial
Snowscroll uses a freemium model. The free tier includes the core experience on your first two apps. Pro unlocks all six supported apps, removal of additional surfaces (home feed, notifications tabs, ads where supported), per-app daily limits, and dark mode.
- Plans (US): Yearly — $44.99 per year, with a 7-day free trial. Monthly — $4.99 per month, with no free trial. The free trial is available on the yearly plan only. Prices in other regions are set in App Store Connect, and Apple converts them per storefront.
- Pro is an auto-renewing subscription sold only through Apple In-App Purchase.
- Billing. Charges are made to your Apple ID. If you start the 7-day free trial, it converts to a paid yearly subscription unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
- Cancellation and refunds. You manage and cancel your subscription in your Apple ID / App Store subscription settings. We cannot cancel or refund on your behalf. Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's policies.
- Restore. The paywall provides a "Restore Purchases" function.
- Subscription management is provided through RevenueCat together with Apple StoreKit.
4. Referral program
- Each user receives a unique referral code and a shareable invite link.
- A referral counts when an invited person installs Snowscroll, completes onboarding, and enters your referral code.
- Rewards: reaching 5 referrals grants 1 month of Pro free; reaching 15 referrals grants 6 months of Pro free. Rewards are applied as promotional access to Pro features.
- Rewards have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money.
- Anti-abuse: self-referral is not allowed; each person may redeem only one code. We may withhold or revoke rewards for fraud, manipulation, or fake installs, and we may change or end the referral program at any time.
5. Acceptable use, the platforms, and trademarks
- Independence and trademarks. Snowscroll is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Instagram, Meta, YouTube, Google, Facebook, X, TikTok, ByteDance, or LinkedIn. All trademarks belong to their respective owners; any references are nominative and describe compatibility only.
- Your own session. Snowscroll displays your own logged-in session of those platforms' public mobile websites inside a focused browser. You must comply with each platform's own terms of service when you use it through Snowscroll.
- Reliability. The platforms change their websites frequently, which can temporarily break filtering. We update filters over the air, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted feed removal. The App is provided "as is."
- Login checkpoints. Signing in to some platforms (notably Instagram) from any non-native browser can occasionally trigger that platform's own "is this you?" security check. This is the platform's security mechanism, not a Snowscroll feature or defect.
6. Not professional advice
Snowscroll is a digital-wellbeing tool. It is not a medical, psychological, or mental-health service, and it does not provide professional advice or treatment.
7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that feed removal will be uninterrupted, error-free, or effective against all surfaces at all times.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Snowscroll will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising out of or relating to your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the amount you paid us for the App in the twelve months before the claim.
8. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Snowscroll from claims arising out of your misuse of the App or your violation of these Terms or of any platform's terms of service.
9. Changes, termination, and governing law
- We may modify the App or these Terms. If we make material changes to these Terms, we will update the effective date and post the revised Terms. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
- We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms.
- These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Snowscroll operates, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
10. Eligibility and age
The App is intended for users 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13. The App embeds third-party social websites that are themselves intended for users 13 and older.
